ROBOCOBRA QUARTET WELLNESS

Irish jazz punks Robocobra Quartet have released a new single 'Wellness', a contorting and noisy exploration of the bizarre culture of wellness and it's toxic extremes. "Every lyric comes from a UK newspaper about the daily routines of influencers, repeated word for word because truth seems stranger than fiction at the moment." The verbatim lyrics are delivered with an in-character smugness that almost infects the skippy keyboard chords and rhythm section, but as the song progresses, and the routine gets increasingly perverse, dual saxophones honk and squeal deranging the track, setting it off it's poppy course into a noisy jazz-punk squall. The song is taken from their upcoming album Living Isn't Easy, out June 17th. Check out the video directed by J.D.P. Croy below. -Toby Evans-Jesra
